I hope all are well.
Your Executive Board members attended the Legislative Training Seminar in Arlington VA and Washington DC
March 3 through 6, 2024. During this seminar we received training on the current Bills before Congress that
would affect the US Postal Service operations and our members, both current and retired.
These Bills include:
HR 3005, HR 594, HR 595, HR 82, S 597 and S 3356.
We delivered our message to staffers from the offices of Brad Wenstrup, District 2, Joyce Beatty, District 3, Troy
Balderson, District 12 and Mike Carey, District 15. We also met with staffers from both Ohio Senator's offices,
Sherrod Brown and JD Vance.
I encourage each of you to continue to message your elected officials seeking support for these issues. The easy
way is to use the "Send a message to your elected officials" link on our website.
Remember, the Special Enrollment Period for Medicare B opened April 1, 2024, and will remain open for six
months. If you are eligible for Medicare B and have not yet enrolled, you may do so during this period without late
enrollment penalties.
OPM has provisionally approved some healthcare providers for the Postal Service Health Benefit program. I will
compile the list of providers and post it on our website.
We have received requests for support from candidates for National Executive Board positions. Preliminary discussion was
conducted, and the matter was tabled until the May Branch meeting.
